One of the most-common over-the counter-treatments today.
Artificial Tears
Lining the shelves in supermarkets, artificial tears come in many varieties. From, "redness relief," to "preservative-free," "night-time relief," or gel drops, it is difficult to determine which will give the best relief for your symptoms. Our staff at Michiana Eye Center uses the latest technology in dry eye treatment to help determine which drop will provide the best relief for your ocular condition.
Retaine MGD
Retaine MGD is a preservative-free artificial tear in single dose vials. It moisturizes, lubricates, and protects moderate to severe dry eyes. Unlike other artificial tears that can evaporate quickly, Retaine MGD provides longer-lasting relief. It works to add moisture by lowering the salt concentration of tears, while the lipid component lubricates and protects the surface of the eye.
Xiidra
Dry eye disease can be caused by inflammation on the surface of the eye. Xiidra is specifically designed to target a source of that inflammation. Xiidra is the only FDA-approved dry eye medication specifically for both the signs and symptoms of dry eye.

Restasis
A prescribed artificial tear, Restasis is created to help your body increase it's natural ability to create tears. Some patients do not notice any difference for about 3 months. Packaged in individual vials Restasis is available in a 30 or 90 day supply.
